I would also like to thank everyone for coming to my birthday party. It was lovely to see all of your smiling faces. A special thank you to my sister for ensuring I was able to get home safely. :)

And on that same token, thank you to all who came out to celebrate Akira with us. It was a fun day full of mischief. Just the way it should be. Happy birthday once more, Akira. I hope this year brings as many good memories as the year past. I'm excited for what the future has in store for you.

I've been trying to make the most of the summer, staying out as much as I can and enjoying the heat. I've been meaning to visit the Yonaguni monument actually.
Do you have any plans for the rest of summer?

That sounds like a good decision with the summer heat. I don't have anything particular planned, no, but I'm always willing to make plans. It has been a rather eventful summer, really. How about you?

I'm trying to get around to seeing old friends and such before I leave Okinawa. But mostly I'm just trying to relax for the rest of September.

I think no matter how prepared you are to move away, it's always a difficult thing to say goodbye to those you hold dear. I hope that you're able to do just that - relax and be surrounded by friends and family.

As someone who has also moved across the country, please let me know if there is anything I can do make your transition easier. Even if it's just going to get a coffee.
